Government Science College (GSC), Chatrapur, located in Ganjam district, Odisha, is a premier government-aided institution established on July 8, 1969. Initially founded under private management, it was taken over by the Government of Odisha in 1982. The college is affiliated with Berhampur University and the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha.

4. Admissions:
Admissions to Higher Secondary (HS), Undergraduate (UG), and Postgraduate (PG) programs are conducted online through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), Odisha.
UG admissions are based on merit lists prepared by the Higher Education Department, Government of Odisha.
PG admissions are based on merit lists from the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) conducted by the Higher Education Department.
The admission process follows reservation policies and weightage as prescribed by the government.
