Established in 1961, Government Women's (Degree) College, Puri, stands as the sole government women's college in the Puri district of Odisha. Initially founded as Mahila College under private management, it was taken over by the Government of Odisha in 1965. The college is dedicated to empowering women through quality education in the Arts stream. It is affiliated with Rama Devi Women's University, Bhubaneswar, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institution offers undergraduate programs and has a sanctioned strength of 128 seats for the +3 Arts stream.
