Established in 1957 by the Government of Odisha, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Autonomous College (commonly known as BJB College) is one of the premier educational institutions in the state. Named after the renowned freedom fighter Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Bhramarabara Ray Mahapatra, the college has been a cornerstone of higher education in Odisha. Affiliated with Utkal University, BJB College was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1999 and has been accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
